I just moved but I’m still using the same router and the computer is fine, just my drivers somehow disappeared for my NIC card and I’ve been searching for an answer 77. I spent way too much time in google beforwe I was able to find this answer so I hope posting this here will help someone.

There is a reason, it is low-grade and low-tech and in many circumstances, the motherboard NIC will outperform the now out-dated EG, particularly if you have something like a Marvell Yukon. Cons I had to call Linksys wincows support and work my way up the chain to find it. Has any1 tried using this network adapter driver with windows 7? Ignore any warnings about incompatibility etc, OK to continue, drivers will now load. I stumbled upon this post and decided to try it but to no avail.

Summary Did not use it afterall Wednesday, August 10, Was not compatible with my mobo. It works flawlessly on my EG v3 board under XP bit. Remove From My Forums. Unless you rely on a gigabet ethernet for data transfer, I would seriously consider sticking with the motherboard NIC, not adding extra workload to the PCI-bus etc is even only one plus to seriously consider, this just my 10p though. I explained to the tech on what was likely a recorded call that I’d spent the day searching for this driver and saw a lot of disparaging comments about Linksys because they pulled support for a board that a lot of people are apparently still using.
